I came across these tips on the Internet and thought I would share them with you. I know I am guilty of some of these practices and as a result some people never receive my emails.
Many Internet Service Providers and email client software will look for certain keywords in an email message and will reject the message or place it into a Spam folder if certain keywords exist.
Keeping your email free from SPAM words and paying attention to these simple practices will improve your chances of getting your email delivered.
Things to avoid in your emails:
- ALL CAPS IN YOUR MESSAGE TITLE OR SUBJECT LINE
- TOO MANY CAPS in the body
- Exclamation marks!!! within the title or too many within the body of your message
- ***Asterisks within your title*** or the use of too many within your body message
- $$ Dollar Signs$$ within your title or the use of too many $$ signs within your body
- Over use of other symbols such as #, %, @ within your title or body
- Subject line has exclamation mark and question mark
- Subject contains "FREE" in CAPS
- Subject starts with "Free"
- Subject word GUARANTEED
- Subject starts with "Hello"
- Subject line starts with Buy or Buying
- Subject line or title is too long
Feel free to post any comments or questions to my Blog.
Happy Blogging!!
